A wonderful antique locket brooch of museum quality. The brooch features a solid gold frame with two hidden snake heads and lovely engraved detailing. At the centre of the brooch sits a double sided glass locket that twists in its frame.

The brooch is not marked but tests as 9 carat gold and features a secure hook clasp. There is also a hook for a safety chain that could easily have a bale added to be worn as a pendant 

The glass frame of the locket is very secure in its frame and therefore quite difficult to open. The brooch remains in good antique condition overall.
